- Run MetaServer RT. Press + button on
MetaServer toolbar to add
new symbol.
- You will see two group of fields: Vendor information and
TS/MS Information.
- Fill Vendor information fields with information as it is in
TWS.
- To determine which information should be written in MetaServer,
activate your InteractiveBrokers TWS, right click by mouse on the page and select
Ticker from the menu.
- Type desired symbol. Please note, for Futures you must type root
symbol.
- Press OK button. Select Category of symbol. The same category
should be selected in MetaServer Symbol configuration. Depends on
selected category, you can be prompted to select additional
information line expiration month and year.
- Check out the row with added symbol. Under colimen Exchange you
will se exchange name which sould be exactly typed in MetaServer
Symbol configuration.
- Fill TS/MS information with information as it in in your
TradeStation or
MetaStock.
- After definition of all desired link types press OK
button in Symbol configuration
window.
- You will see symbol (symbols) defined in the main MetaServer
window.
- Press Save button on MetaServer
toolbar to save Symbol set (the
set of defined symbols).
- Select directory where you would like to save Symbol set in the Save
in box and the name of Symbol
set in the File name
box. Then press Save.
- Symbol set will be saved and
you could use it next time by pressing Open
button on MetaServer toolbar.
- Select Configure/API/Trusted IP Addresses
from TWS menu.
- Type 127.0.0.1 as IP address and press OK.
- You will see address of local PC in the window. Press
OK button to save address.
- To start data collection press Start data
collection button on MetaServer
toolbar.
- In the case of successful connection, the status of symbol will be
green and you will see changing quotes.
